Comprehensive Musicianship
As children get older and advance in their skill and curriculum level, they will be challenged with this Comprehensive Musicianship program, which includes a weekly class and private lesson. Students participate in music theory, ear training, composer studies, ensemble playing, improvisation, and monthly master classes. Most Comprehensive Musicianship students participate in Certificate of Merit testing by the MTAC and most rank in the highest percentile level of accomplishment in knowledge and performance.
In the private lesson, students have the opportunity to study a variety of musical styles. With the individual student's needs and goals in mind, each lesson is customized helping them build a strong repertoire with good technique. Pacific Conservatory has talented faculty members who deliver a personalized curriculum for piano, voice, guitar, flute, recorder, violin, cello and drums.
For Intermediate and Advanced Students:
Instrumental Classes provide a fertile learning ground for the beginning older music student as well.
As they make quick progress, the private lesson will soon be added to their class. Comprehensive Musicianship classes teach theory, technique, ear training, harmony, improvisation, composition, and music appreciation and students perform in monthly Master Classes.
Summer and Vacation Intensive Comprehensive Musicianship Programs (known as Fast Track) are available for those who want to progressv even more quickly to prepare for OCHSA auditions, Certificate of Merit Testing or college applications. Weekly Group Lesson PLUS Weekly Private/Partner Lesson
Ages 8 years & up
Theory, keyboard harmony, ear training, technic,
music appreciation, improvisation and composition.
This curriculum is available during the school year and as a vacation intensive program: Fast Track Camps.
This program will support the student in acquiring the required skills for
